What are “Paradigm and Context”

Okay, so after reading a few dozen books on the Law of Attraction, Intention, Quantum Physics, and dozens of hours digging through the prolific Steve Pavlina’s work, I’ve discovered that there are 2 words that are CRUCIAL to grasp if I am to accelerate my learning and eventual climb up the ladder of self realization. These words are “paradigm” and “context”. So I’m going to start with the Merriam Webster definitions:

Paradigm:
a philosophical and theoretical framework of a scientific school or discipline within which theories, laws, and generalizations and the experiments performed in support of them are formulated; broadly : a philosophical or theoretical framework of any kind.

Another that I found helpful from www.miqel.com/text/twholedefs.html
“A paradigm is a set of rules and regulations (written or unwritten) that does two things: 1) it establishes or defines boundaries; and 2) it tells you how to behave inside the boundaries in order to be successful”. (Joel Arthur Barker) “A shared set of assumptions. The paradigm is the way we perceive the world; water to the fish. The paradigm explains the world to us and helps us to predict its behavior.

Context

the interrelated conditions in which something exists or occurs (merriam webster)
My men’s group also uses this word to supplant “core belief” or “battle cry”. We have a document that we use called a CPR (context – purpose – results) which is a planning tool. The results are what we want to happen, the purpose is a very defined, powerful “reason” for the project or task, preferably “bigger” than ourselves, and the “context” is sort of the “color” through which we view the subject matter. Some examples of context in this “context” (haha) would be. “We are successful, We win, life is awesome, I create the life I decide to create, etc”. Some negative contexts would be “Life sucks, then you die”, “the minute I get ahead, something knocks me back”. These of course, are really “core beliefs”, but for some reason my men’s group has adopted the word context here and I suppose in some way it works. Throughout these pages, I will use and misuse the words “context” and “paradigm” in a reckless, relentless and irresponsible manner, but for the “highest good of all!” Enjoy!
